The gite is only three kilometres from two large supermarkets and the property is just a few hundred metres from the centre of the small village of Peyrat. There one can find a friendly bar/restaurant that serves a great 4-course lunch for 12 euros a head every day except Sundays. Meanwhile a baker's van delivers to the village six mornings a week. About Maison du Gui Maison du Gui During the summer, the days in Limousin are generally sunny and hot, and the evenings balmy and long. When all you want to do is relax, that is the time to enjoy our glorious, salt-purified (chlorine free) swimming pool. Just lie back and sip a chilled white wine or an ice-cold beer on one of our sun-loungers. Then take a dip in the pool and pour yourself another. As our guests, you two will have unlimited and exclusive access to our newly built pool throughout daylight hours and late into the evenings. If you are feeling more energetic, you can always use the boules court in the garden. As the heat eases off in the early evening, a gentle game , accompanied by a glass of pastis, is a perfect way for you to build up an appetite for dinner. |
